The HME unit (Heat Moisture Exchange) for use with most all CPAP machines is an inline humidification device that is connected between the mask and machine tubing. Taking up little space and requiring no additional power, the HME unit is a great alternative for large, water based humidifiers.
This is a great alternative to the traditional water based humidifier to make your CPAP more travel friendly.
The unit fastens to a simple mask elbow in order to take in heat and moisture from the user's exhaled breath. Then the moisture is returned into the air stream for inhalation to help prevent dryness.
The universal, travel-sized humidification device can be used with most any CPAP, APAP, or BiPAP machine.
It is recommend to replace the HME unit every 7 days to ensure continued quality sleep apnea therapy sessions.
This product contains the Heat Moisture Exchange Unit only and does not include any other machine parts.
