An Auto CPAP machine (APAP or AutoPAP) is designed for treatment of sleep apnea and provides air pressure at a regularly adjusted level. The APAP is able to automatically adjust your pressure level on each breath.  A traditional CPAP provides air pressure at a prescribed constant level.

Sleep apnea is a condition in which the patient’s airway becomes constricted during sleep. The Auto CPAP automatically titrates, or adjusts, the air pressure delivered for each breath and delivers the minimum pressure necessary to keep the airway open.
