Chin Straps
Chinstraps are most effective when the jaw relaxes during sleep.  The chinstrap will keep the mouth closed allowing a nasal cushion or nasal pillow mask to be used.  However, if a CPAP user wants to breathe through their mouth while wearing a chinstrap, the product will not stop this inhalation or exhalation leaving the therapy to be ineffective.
